One MONSTER Bike Ride II – Back In The Saddle…..

In 2022 Stonedead regulars Roger Sketcher, Tony Harper, Steve Riordan and Mark Dempsey took on “One Monster Bike Ride” in aid of Mind – Mental Health Charity.

The team cycled from Donington (the birthplace of Monsters of Rock and Download Festival) to the Stonedead Festival site, with a stop off and photo opportunity at the iconic Rock City in Nottingham.

Being spurred on over the finish line by Planet Rock favourite and charity cyclist Wyatt Wendels, the 4 rode under the famous Stonedead tyre just before the Friday night party kicked off. The guys raised over £5000 for Mind, an outstanding achievement, and something we here at Stonedead are proud to be involved in.

But it doesn’t stop there …. One Monster Bike Ride II is coming…….

Following a chat with the team from Andy’s Man Club at last year’s festival, Roger, Tony and Steve are back for 2023 to raise funds for this charity partner of Stonedeads.

But…. This time they are going off road!! A new route is planned out for the challenge, and not wanting to make things too easy for themselves, they have thrown in a cycle along the paths of the River Trent en-route to the site (with a planned stop at the pub at Gunthorpe Bridge, of course!!). Once suitably refreshed, the guys will be on their way to the finish line again, just in time for the Friday Night Party.
